Weather:
Typically, the temperatures are quite mild, with an max average in the mid 20's C. Heavy rainfall may still occur in April-May, though it would take an unusual 4-5 inches overnight to disrupt the fishing in the Daintree River. The trade South easterlies start to dominate the weather, and once the forecasted winds exceed 15-20 knots, Jamie restricts his charters to the Daintree River.
In clear weather, this season can be postcard perfect, in overcast weather drizzle and/or strong winds calls for a slightly warmer attire such as a jacket, or windbreaker to keep yourself comfortable. Wet weather gear is provided by Jamie in rainy conditions.
